We've gone to great lengths to provide you with media in formats which aren't legally and technically encumbered.

Here are some suggestions for applications which will let you enjoy the media on this site from the computing platform of your choice. Please let us know if you have problems with these programs.

GNU/Linux:

    Audio:
    The vorbis-tools package from the authors of Ogg/Vorbis includes a player called ogg123 which will play the audio clips from the Sabbath Song albums. The xmms plugin on the software page has also been tested with our files.

    Video:
    MPlayer is a great video player in general, and supports the .AVI videos on this site.

Macintosh:

    Audio:
    Unfortunately, we have found no Free Software solutions allowing Macintosh users to listen to Ogg/Vorbis audio. However, there are some handy tools available free of charge, such as Ogg Drop and Max, that should work fine.

    Video:
    Apple's Quicktime player can be used to view the video clips available in Quicktime format.

Microsoft Windows:

    Audio:
    Zinf is Free Software which supports Ogg/Vorbis. Other alternatives, including a WinAMP plugin, are also available.

    Video:
    ThePlaya supports the DiVX file format.
